Correspondence, speeches, articles, book reviews, clippings, and scrapbooks relating primarily to Warne's work with the Consumers Union of the United States and other consumer groups, 1924-1979, and to his teaching positions at the University of Pennsylvania, 1924-1930, and at Amherst College, 1930-1969. Other agencies and subjects covered include American Civil Liberties Union, cooperative leagues, International Organization of Consumers Unions, political organizations, labor groups, workers' schools, and advertising during World War II. Scrapbooks pertain to his Ithaca, N.Y. high school years, retirement from Amherst College in 1969, his 75th birthday, and his retirement from Consumers Union, 1979. Family papers, 1910-1977, include letters, estate papers, genealogy, school and college records, financial papers, and other miscellaneous items.
